ABOUT

Now in its 9th year, the Walnut City Music Festival is an all-volunteer effort to produce a home-grown, destination live music experience that connects the budding music scene of McMinnville, Oregon, with celebrated acts from around the country. The festival started in McMinnville's historic Granary District, moved to the City Park, and, in 2022, set up on the campus of the renowned Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum. Also new in 2022 was the addition of the Home Grown stage, showcasing local talent throughout the weekend.

LOCATION & PARKING

The music is held in an oak grove in the back of the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum campus, 500 NE Captain Michael King Smith Way, McMinnville, Or. The entrance to the festival is in the back of the main parking area between the Aviation and Space museum buildings. The grounds are mostly flatten dirt, so blankets, short lawn chairs and closed shoes are recommended

There is ample parking at the museum complex. For those who want to park in downtown McMinnville, a shuttle is in the works. More information to come.

CAMPING - Tent & RV

The WCMF committee is thrilled to offer camping for the first time in 2023. Tent camping will be located a few minute-walk from the festival, on a plush lawn behind the Aviation building. Camping spots are for up to 4 adults, or a family of 5. A luxury restroom trailer will be provided for campers, however there are no shower facilities provided (however, a trip to the on-campus Wings & Waves Waterpark can help with that!).

RV can park overnight in the museum complex parking lot.

OUTSIDE ACCOMODATIONS

McMinnville and the surrounding wine country offers myriad options for a weekend stay, from vacation rentals, to downtown hotels, to RV camps and more. Labor Day Weekend is a busy time in wine country, so if you plan to stay the weekend at one of these, make sure to book now!

FOOD & DRINK

Several vendors from McMinnville's celebrated culinary scene will have fresh fare for sale at the festival. Locally crafted beer, wine and non-alcoholic options will be for sale. Check back for a list of vendors and beverage options. A drinking water station will be on the grounds. Outside alcohol is not permitted. Attendees can bring water and small food items in a container not exceeding 5 quarts.

KIDS

Children under 12 get in free. A kids' area will be set up with arts, crafts and other items to keep the kids entertained.
