VOLUNTEER

 

Volunteers get a one-of-a-kind volunteer shirt and a free ticket to the festival for the day of their shift. Volunteers for the late shift on Saturday also receive a ticket to the Sunday show. 

 

Volunteer positions include entry/ticket box, merchandise tent, beverage pouring, alcohol monitor and parking attendants. Click here for an online sign-up form.

LOCATION & SETTING

The 10th year annual Walnut City Music Festival is located in Lower City Park (140 NW Park Road), a couple blocks from McMinnville's renowned downtown district in the heart of Oregon Wine Country. an all-volunteer effort to produce a home-grown, destination live music experience that connects the budding music scene of McMinnville, Oregon, with celebrated acts from around the country.

The lower section of City ark wanders along Cozine Creek, with plenty of grassy space to set up a lawn chair or spread a blanket out. It's easily walkable, however accessing it from the upper park area requires doing down a hilly street or a long flight of stairs.

 

PARKING: Parking for vehicles with a certified Handicap Parking Permit is located down the hill next to the entrance. Otherwise, there is free public parking throughout downtown, with a parking structure four blocks from the festival on 5th Street between Davis and Evans streets.

FOOD & DRINK

Several vendors from McMinnville's celebrated culinary scene will have fresh fare for sale at the festival. Locally crafted beer, wine and non-alcoholic options will be for sale. Check back for a list of vendors and beverage options.

ACCOMODATIONS

Coming from out of town? There are myriad options for lodging within a couple miles of the festival grounds, from motels to boutique hotels, plenty of AirBnBs and other unique places to call home base. August is a busy time in wine country, so if you plan to stay the weekend at one of these, make sure to book now!

PETS

No pets allowed other than licensed service animals.

The WCMF is a nonprofit event that's not possible without the support of civically and culturally minded businesses. Benefits include marketing on posters, social posts and the volunteer shirts; tickets to the festival (a great benefit for employees, clients or friends); the warm fuzzy feeling of providing an amazing, independent, all-volunteer-run live music event in McMinnville; and more.
